It's Stampede time here in Calgary once again and we here at music1st feel that a massive shaker is in order to complement the occasion. Spilt Milk has been a staple in Western Canada's dance scene for more than a decade. Besides being a wicked dj he's also a really nice guy, so nice in fact that he offers the world a wide selection of mixes by him dating back all the way to 1997.

Sorry no posts in about a month, but this should get things going for the summer/festival season. My man Arlen is out from Montreal to join us in welcoming Swayzak from Britain this Tuesday. We got Boombox coming up on July 7th next Saturday as well as a visit from Tipper August 3rd.

We've loved Swayzak's music since "I Dance Alone" so it'll be exciting to hear what's new from them. In Order To Danse will be supporting Noah York & Arlen opening the night up, so if you're in Calgary this week come down to the Hifi and join us for a Boozy Tuesday party.

The label has put out tonnes of material since it's inception in 2002, with some of their best material coming out early on from producers like M.A.N.D.Y. Time To Get Physical!

The Bassnectar show was a hit, thanks calgary for going off like no where else in this city. The Legion is home to our next Music1st shaker as well, and we are proud to bring you these brilliant producers from Germany. That's right, it's Booka Shade! They have a new release for us to celebrate while we wait for their visit to Calgary on May 26th. Here's a sample off the new 12" you can go buy the whole release when it's out May 16th.
